Victoria Theatre Association presents the second of eight Mid-Day Arts Café lunches Tuesday, October 23, 2012 in the Mathile Theatre located in the Benjamin & Marian Schuster Performing Arts Center. October's Mid- Day Arts Café offers an up close and personal look at the shows presented by the Dayton Opera for the 2012-2013 "Occupy Opera" season, including their opening show, Lucia di Lammermoor.

This hour of entertainment and delicious food features a preview of the Dayton Opera's upcoming productions for the 2012-2013 Occupy Opera season. Dayton Opera Artistic Director Thomas Bankston will introduce and discuss the amazing season ahead for the opera. Joining Mr. Bankston will be Kathleen Clawson, stage director for the upcoming production of Lucia di Lammermoor, and Joseph Mechavich, the show's conductor. Both Ms. Clawson and Mr. Mechavich are Dayton Opera favorites and will give interesting insights into the "Occupy Opera" season's opening production.

Mid-Day Arts Café is a series presented by Victoria Theatre Association offering a variety of performances from locAl Dayton arts groups. In cooperation with the Dayton Performing Arts Alliance (Dayton Ballet, Dayton Opera and Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra), The Muse Machine, Zoot Theatre Company, FilmDayton, and Human Race Theatre Company, Mid-Day Arts Café offers the chance to network with area arts lovers, view sneak peeks of upcoming performances, and enjoy the opportunity to get out of the office for an enjoyable lunch time!

Tickets for the Mid-Day Arts Café include a delicious box lunch from Citilites Restaurant & Bar.

Doors open at 11:30 a.m. with the event starting promptly at noon in order to conclude by 1 p.m. For more information on the 2012-2013 season, please contact Victoria Theatre Association directly.
